AN EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT, SHOPPING, AND AN UPDATE

I took a drive yesterday to St. George (45 minutes away) to go shopping for a few hours. I went to Target, Ross, TJMaxx, and Tai Pan. Oh boy the goodies I saw and wanted to buy. But I was pretty good, I restrained myself somewhat. I saw these Christmas carolers that I really wanted. Can't think of the name of them, but they are collectibles. I saw them on someone's blog but can't remember who's it was. I picked one up and looked at the bottom for the price, and put it in my cart. Then on to another one. Picked it up, checked the bottom for the price and said "whoa"...someone marked it wrong. It was priced at $49.99. Picked the one up I had put in my cart to look at the price again...I had looked at it wrong. I thought it was $4.99. NO....I quickly put it back on the shelf. I wanted it but couldn't justify spending 50 bucks for it. Not after just purchasing that $1800 tv and stand. Whew...the budget couldn't quite swing it.

I needed to get back to town by 3 pm so I had to leave the shopping behind, and I was just getting on a roll. Usually I tire quickly, or don't see things I am interested in, but yesterday I saw all kinds of neat things. Most of the stores have Christmas decor out.
A quick update on my daughter-in-law Michelle. After a few hours at the ER last night, they ended up giving her two injections of Methotrexate. It's a drug they use in chemotherapy and also in tubal pregnancies. The doctor said it works 90% of the time to end a tubal pregnancy. If this procedure doesn't work, then surgery is the last resort. It is very toxic and the doctor told her she needed to keep herself isolated for 48 hours. The chemical will come out of her pores, tear ducts, saliva, etc. and not to be around Kaden at all. So Michelle is staying at her mom's condo that her mom uses for a second home, by herself. I feel bad for her being alone, but she wants to protect Kaden. The doctor told her if she has any severe side effects from it, to call an ambulance and get to the hospital. How scary is that? So it's a waiting game again. She will continue to see her OB doctor for blood tests until her hormone levels are back to normal and they know for sure the pregnancy has ended. I talked to her this morning and other than not getting any sleep, she is doing okay. (it also causes insomnia). It's been a rough week and a half for her and my son, but they will get through it. Thanks again for all your sweet comments.
